Meja is an independent business and investment company

Meja is at the cutting edge of entrepreneurship and investment, with a focus on buyouts, growth capital and strategic partnerships. We are involved in both minority and majority participations in small to medium-sized companies in the Benelux. Our expertise includes investing in established companies, as well as providing support to companies looking for capital for growth and help with digital transformation.

Our active approach is characterized by intensive cooperation with ambitious entrepreneurs or management teams, to whom we not only provide capital, but also provide strategic support to sustainably accelerate the growth and development of their company. We focus our investments on sectors that we find attractive and where, as entrepreneurs, directly or via our extensive network, we have the necessary experience to create value. Crucial for us is a strong personal click with the entrepreneur or management team, as well as a common vision of the future direction of the company/sector in which the company operates.

We work with companies that want to take the next step in their journey: growth & expansion, M&A, internationalization, succession planning, MBO, LBO,...

Minority philosophy

We are open to minority and majority investments. However, thanks to our minority philosophy, entrepreneurs can maintain control of their business while raising capital and drawing on our expertise.

Sector agnostic

We are sector agnostic, provided that we can enrich our participations through our experiences/knowledge or those of our network. However, we prefer companies active in the B2B sector with consolidation potential that offer digital or consultancy services.

Entrepreneurship

Thanks to our hands-on entrepreneurial mentality, we can build close relationships with our partners. That's why we focus on companies with decision centers in the Benelux. Mutual relationship and trust are key.

EBITDA

We focus on companies that are cash flow positive with an EBITDA of +/- €0.5 to €5 million.

Ticket sizes range from €1 to €5 million.

Our added value

Meja is both an entrepreneur and an investor. This means that we go beyond simply providing capital that is just one aspect of our involvement. Much more essential is our availability and willingness to support entrepreneurs and management teams when this help is most needed. We do not claim to know the company or the sector better than the entrepreneur/manager, but we are always ready to advise and assist them.
