Craftzing climbs to 200 employees with a double takeover

Craftzing, which specializes in advising companies in digital transformation, is making a double acquisition. With the integration of AI specialist Sagacify and experience design agency Namahn, Craftzing strengthens its position as a total partner in complex transformation projects. ”With Sagacify and Namahn, we get two crucial competencies.”, says Roeland Tegenbos, CEO of Craftzing. ”Systems thinking on the one hand and integrating production-ready AI solutions on the other: both companies fit perfectly into our strategy to guide our customers from A to Z in their change process”. With the acquisitions, turnover rises to 26 million euros and the group has more than 200 employees.

Craftzing takes another step in its further growth. The acquisitions of both companies make Craftzing one of the few players in the market that controls and offers the entire value chain: from strategies and business architecture to experience design, technology, product development and AI implementations.

Our customers don't need AI hype but AI that really works for them. AI-driven solutions that are right within a company's complex organization. In our opinion, that's where the real value lies.” says Roeland Tegenbos, CEO of Craftzing.

Companies are constantly experimenting with AI, but that does not always produce the expected results. Out a recent MIT study After all, it appears that 95% of the AI pilot projects provide no value, mainly because they are not sufficiently embedded in the overarching strategy and organization of companies. Counterbalancing requires more than just technical knowledge.

Technology has never been more decisive and, at the same time, so far-reaching. Anyone who wants to make AI work must therefore be willing to redraw their own organization. The future is not AI-first in technology, but AI-first in business. That's what we're focusing on now..” Roeland Tegenbos, CEO of Craftzing.

Sagacify: unique AI product team with proven impact

With offices in Brussels and Wallonia, Sagacify consists of a team of 25 engineers who specialize in artificial intelligence and have been designing solutions for the automation of critical business processes for leading organizations for more than ten years. Long before ChatGPT and generative AI became popular, Sagacify had already established itself as a Belgian pioneer in industrial AI, able to design, implement and maintain AI systems that are used in production in complex and highly regulated environments.

Today, the company supports key players in the insurance and health insurance sectors, healthcare, the legal sector, the pharmaceutical industry, logistics and the public sector. Their expertise covers the full spectrum of modern AI: machine learning, predictive analytics, computer vision, secure generative AI, and autonomous AI agents for process automation.

Sagacify is known for its know-how in automating back office processes with AI agents that, for example, can automatically understand, qualify and process thousands of incoming requests or complaints per day, or who can automatically handle reimbursement flows from health insurance companies.

“Nowadays, organizations want to switch from experimenting to making an actual impact. AI only has value when it is deeply integrated into business operations and managed reliably. By joining Craftzing, we are combining our AI expertise with a unique strategic and organizational transformation capacity in the market. Together, we can help companies create an executable and pragmatic transformation strategy, where AI solutions play a central role,” says Kevin Françoisse, co-founder of Sagacify.

Thanks to this partnership, Sagacify becomes Craftzing's AI excellence center and significantly expands its ability to implement its solutions within large-scale transformation programs, from strategy to operational implementation.

Namahn, pioneer in experience and systemic design

Namahn is the oldest and most renowned experience design agency in our country. It was founded in 1987 by Joannes Vandermeulen and is an established name in the design world. The office works for the European Commission and Ghent University, among others, and is known for its holistic approach to complex IT environments and social issues, from sustainability transitions to accessible public services. In addition, the entire context — organization, processes, users, technology and wider social impact — is always mapped out before solutions are built.

The real challenge is to get an application embedded in business operations, taking into account all possible needs and interactions. That is where the added value of our systemic approach lies.,” says Joannes Vandermeulen, founder of Namahn. ”It's an essential exercise, especially for AI projects, and we look forward to working with Craftzing to take care of the entire chain.”

Looking further for new opportunities

This does not end the search for other interesting strategic expansions, although growth is not a goal in itself. “Customers need a partner that is big enough to control the entire value chain and focused enough to ensure quality. We want to be the player who works most strategically and can therefore make an idea deliver value more quickly,” says Roeland Tegenbos.

In this expansion, Craftzing is supported by Meja, an independent investment company. No financial details of the acquisitions will be disclosed. “We are proud of the constant ambition and entrepreneurship with which the Craftzing team is shaping this growth phase. These acquisitions not only strengthen their leadership position and expand the proposition for customers, but also open up new opportunities for talent and innovation. In the same spirit, Craftzing also continues to explore new strategic opportunities in a professional and targeted manner. For example, Craftzing is continuing to build a unique platform that raises the bar in the market, and we at Meja will continue to fully support them in this acceleration and the next growth phase.”, says Maxim Dierckx, Managing Partner Meja
