Meja believes that the protection of the data and privacy of its customers and the users of its website is very important, and in line with this, the following privacy policy has been drawn up.

Meja collects the personal data provided to it by its customers and users via e-mail, telephone, filling out forms, via the Website and information collected via our service providers, such as our hosting provider.

Meja only stores the personal data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy under article III.

If a longer storage period is justified by law or by compliance with another legal obligation, Meja can keep the data longer.

In any case, the retention period will not exceed 7 years.

In the context of providing evidence and to safeguard and defend its legitimate interests, Meja may choose to keep certain personal data for a period of 10 years.

Meja takes the protection of personal data seriously and takes all appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, and unauthorized access. 7. Sharing data with third parties

Meja will not disclose the personal data to third parties, unless this is necessary in the context of providing the services and optimizing them (such as, but not limited to, administration, processing payments, etc.).

Meja guarantees the security of data for its employees and subcontractors. In concrete terms, this means that Meja's employees and subcontractors are bound by confidentiality and that only those for whom it is necessary in the context of the execution of the agreement have access to your personal data and are contractually bound to process the above data correctly.

If it is necessary for Meja to disclose your personal data to third parties in this context, that third party is obliged to use the personal data in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.

Without prejudice to the foregoing, Meja may disclose personal data to the competent authorities (1) when Meja is obliged to do so by law or in the context of judicial or future court proceedings and (2) to safeguard and defend its rights.

8. Applicable law and competent court

This Privacy Policy has been drafted and is exclusively governed by Belgian law.

Only the Antwerp Business Court, Antwerp Division, is competent to hear any disputes related to or arising from the Privacy Statement.
