Technical Co-Founder: build a new AI venture with us.
Are you an experienced builder with the ambition to become an entrepreneur? We are developing a new AI venture and looking for a Technical Co-Founder to help shape its technology, product and future. You will combine hands-on engineering with an equity stake and responsibility for the company we build together.
Who is Meja?
We provide growth capital and strategic partnerships to businesses across the Benelux. Our team works closely with entrepreneurs to create value and achieve sustainable growth. For this new venture, we are looking for a technical partner who shares that entrepreneurial ambition and wants to help turn it into a business.
Your day-to-day
- Work with the founding team and potential customers to understand their needs and define the first product.
- Build the initial AI applications, workflows and integrations, taking responsibility for the technical implementation.
- Make architecture decisions and establish how we test, deploy and maintain the product.
- Use customer feedback to improve the product and help determine where the venture should focus.
- Contribute to business decisions, including priorities, pricing and how we use our resources.
- Develop reusable technology and a technical foundation that can support the company's growth.
- Help recruit and develop the engineering team as the venture evolves.
Your profile
Experience and skills
- Strong hands-on software engineering experience, including building and deploying AI applications.
- Confidence working across application development, APIs, data and infrastructure.
- The ability to take an idea from an early concept to a product that customers can use.
- Sound technical judgment and an understanding of how decisions affect quality, development time and operating costs.
Education and background
- A background in computer science, engineering or a related field, through education or relevant practical experience.
- Experience taking substantial responsibility for a product or technical project.
- Experience in an early-stage company, technical leadership role or venture of your own is an advantage.
Personal qualities
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a clear motivation to build a company.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to make decisions when the path is still taking shape.
- An interest in customers, commercial opportunities and sustainable growth alongside technology.
- The ability to build a strong working relationship with your co-founders and future team.
- Clear communication in Dutch and English.
